These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Investures and the applications available at https://investures.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by James Fong ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Prototype Software

All applications on this site are prototypes and works-in-progress. They are provided for demonstration and experimental purposes only. We make no guarantees about availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Do not use these apps for anything critical. Data may be deleted, features may change or disappear, and the service may go offline at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (journal entries, home data, photos, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Do not upload personal, financial, or sensitive information that you would not want exposed in the event of a data breach or accidental disclosure.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by James Fong. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without explicit written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication), Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), and AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic). Your use of these integrations is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss of data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, James Fong shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may also stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
